Got a move on!

Well, two things important have happened. I got my light for my planted tank. It is an 18 watt, Aquarium and Plant light I got at Lowe's. Also, yesterday, my wonderful parents said that they will give me, 20 dollars. I can then get the puffer fish, and the little eel that I wanted. B-E-A-utiful! Well, all I have to do is get my plants, and plant them, add water, and get the C02 recipe made, and I'll have a planted tank.

Not much happenin....

Nothing much has changed, but I set up a 20 gallon long tank, all for 1 dwarf pufferfish. It looks sweet. I found a awesome piece of driftwood, and it is soaking right now. I will post pictures later. Sorry I didn't post yesterday, our internet is messed up.

It Arrived....Yay...

Nothing goes as planned, does it? I got my package from Fosters and Smith, everything arrived great. I went to the local Walmart and got some lights and a thermometer. I was so excited to get home, and read the directions and set up everything. I am not getting plants for a couple days, so I don't have my Eco Complete in. Well, I run home, and get the thermometer out. I rinse it off and lick the suction, and stuck it in the corner. Stuck was right. Little science lesson: What happens when a glass falls onto harder glass? The 1st glass breaks, right? Well, break it did. The little rocks for the weight came rolling, and there were little glass pieces all over. No liquid came out though. Well, I got the a magnet and picked up the "weights" and my hand did the picking up for the glass. Wonderful. I got my filter all set up then, and ready to go. The extension didn't fit. Thats ok though, so I took off the extension, and put on the hood. Well, tried to at least. The hood didn't fit, because of how thick the filter was. Ugh.... So I got the light off my 20 gallon long, and have a light on it. Now I have no money, because of the thermometer, and the lights for the hood, which won't fit the light from my 20 gallon, and my hood from the twenty gallon needs a light. Wonderful.... After the little weights were picked up, the shreds of glass plucked out of my hand, and the light made ready, my dad said he will by the light. Thank you Dad!!!
Well, that is my adventure for the year.

Starting My Aquatic Garden

I have decided to start my own Aquatic Garden! I have several tanks right now, but I need a new challenge. I have been reading up about starting online at plantedtank.net, and have some info and am getting a move on. Yesterday, I ordered my supplies for my 30 gallon aquarium. I ordered a Hang On Back filter, Flourish Excel, and some Eco Complete for my substrate. All that is going to be in my tank is plants, hardscape, and shrimp. No fish. I found a neat "rock" in a box that I got from a yardsale awhile back for a dollar. It Rocks! It looks so natural. I also have a really round rock, that I got on our farm, and I have a piece of wood, that is getting water logged as I type. The rock must already be water logged, as it has sunk. :) Well, I have to go, Going to fix my brothers car with my dad, and then going up to pick up my dad's box of bees for his hives.
